This policy explains how Augora Limited, a private limited company registered in England and Wales with company number 17256070 and registered office at Ground Floor, Talbot House, Albion Street, Chester, United Kingdom, CH1 1RQ (“Augora”, “we”, “us” or “our”), collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit our website at augora.co, and how we use cookies and similar technologies.
The Augora product (the logged-in application at app.augora.co) is covered by our full platform Privacy Policy and, where Augora acts as a processor for a customer firm, by the Data Processing Addendum with that firm. Our Data Processing Addendum and sub-processor list form part of our customer contract under our Shared Platform Terms and are available on request at support@augora.co; see also our Security & data protection page. This page focuses on the public marketing website; section 7 explains how we handle an email account you connect to Augora.

1. Who is responsible for your data
For personal data collected through this website, Augora Limited is the controller. We have not appointed a formal Data Protection Officer at this time; if this changes we will update this page.
2. Personal data we collect on this website
2.1 Information you give us
When you request access or book a demonstration, we collect the details you submit, which may include your name, work email address, firm name, role and any message or task context you choose to include.
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you browse the website we (and our analytics provider) may process technical and usage data such as pages viewed, referring page, campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm_source), approximate location inferred from your IP address, browser and device information, and interaction events. PostHog analytics starts only after you accept analytics in our cookie banner. On the QFA demo page, this includes starting the video, viewing progress, opening the access email draft and copying the share link, together with a referral code or shared-link source where present. These events measure actions on the page; they do not establish that an email or shared link was sent.
A referral code is removed from the QFA page address and held only for the current page visit to include in your access email draft. It is not saved in referral cookies or browser storage. If you accept analytics, the code is also included in that visit’s analytics events. The share button copies a neutral link without the original referral code. We receive the draft’s contents only if you choose to send it to us.
3. How we use personal data
- to respond to access requests and demonstration bookings;
- to contact you about your enquiry and our product;
- to understand how the website is used and improve its content and performance, and measure the effectiveness of demo and referral campaigns;
- to detect, investigate and fix errors and security issues;
- to comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
4. Lawful bases
Where Augora acts as controller, we rely on:
- Consent, for website analytics and its non-essential cookies and browser storage. You can withdraw consent at any time (see “Your choices” below).
- Legitimate interests, to operate and secure the website, respond to enquiries and develop our products, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligation, where we must process data to meet legal, accounting or regulatory requirements.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Essential cookies remember your cookie choice. PostHog analytics cookies and session storage are used only after you accept analytics. Until you choose, or if you decline, we do not run PostHog analytics, including cookieless analytics. You can still watch the demo, request access and share the link.

6. Analytics and error monitoring
We use PostHog for website analytics in a separate marketing project on its EU Cloud infrastructure. We collect page views and the usage events described above, with visitor identifiers after consent. Session replay and automatic capture of page interactions are disabled. Our QFA events do not include your name, email address or drafted email body. We use Sentry for error monitoring to detect and fix technical issues. Both providers act as our processors.
7. Connecting your email account
Advisers can connect their work email account (Google Gmail or Microsoft Outlook) to Augora. Augora then sends the emails you write in Augora and press Send on from your own mailbox, so they appear in your Sent folder and replies come straight to you.
For Gmail, we ask Google only for permission to send email on your behalf, plus your email address so we know which account is connected. We do not read, store, index or change the contents of your mailbox, and we do not use it for advertising.
To send those emails we keep encrypted access and refresh tokens for your mailbox, and use them for nothing else. If you disconnect your mailbox in Augora, we delete these tokens and, for Gmail, ask Google to revoke our access. You can also remove Augora’s access at any time in your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions or your Microsoft account at myapps.microsoft.com.
Google API Services. Augora’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalised artificial intelligence or machine learning models, and we do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide this feature, to comply with the law, or with your consent.
8. Who we share personal data with
We share personal data with service providers who help us run the website and respond to enquiries, each acting as our processor or an independent controller as appropriate:
- PostHog, for website analytics (EU);
- Sentry, for error monitoring;
- Vercel, for website hosting;
- Resend, for delivery of enquiry notification emails;
- Cal.com, for demonstration scheduling;
- Slack, for internal notification of enquiries to our team;
- regulators, authorities or professional advisers where required by law.
9. International transfers
We aim to process data in the UK or EEA where reasonably practicable. Where a provider processes personal data outside the UK or EEA and a safeguard is required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum.
10. Retention
We keep enquiry data for as long as necessary to respond to and follow up on your request and to keep appropriate business records, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
We determine how long to keep analytics records by their age, relevance to current website and referral campaigns, and whether aggregate statistics can meet the same purpose. We delete or anonymise records when they are no longer needed for those purposes. The browser lifetimes above are separate from retention of events already received by PostHog: clearing cookies, closing the page or withdrawing consent does not automatically erase historical events. 11. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Your cookie choices. You can change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time using the “Cookie preferences” button below or in the website footer. Declining analytics stops future PostHog analytics and removes its analytics cookies and session storage from this browser. Essential preference cookies remain to remember your choice.
To exercise your rights, contact support@augora.co. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be reflected here.
